Might I just mention:
I hate Mac
Not just a passing hatred, oh no, this is a core hatred, a thing that should not be, I find myself wanting more than anything to wipe the machines from the face of the earth...
Also, I hate change...
I have been in a foul mood all day, I'm not sure why, I have been doing really well for the last few days, but I woke up cranky and having everything change on me at work just makes it worse...
Not to mention that I am not getting enough hours... And I still have to figure out where I'm going to live... And I still have to figure out how I'm going to afford to replace all the things I have lost... And I still have to make sure that I can even afford to live in Bloomington for the next two years... And I still have to figure out how to afford to keep playing the SCA... And I have to try and keep my car running so I can make it out to SCA events to use all the things I spend money on...
grrr... It is a day of grrr...
I actually managed to bust my ass enough to pull down some good grades this semester, I am impressed considering everything that happened over the last few months, it took a lot, but I pulled off my 3.0 somehow...
Things still suck at home, it seems that no matter what I do, things just keep getting worse, but at least I am granted a small repast for the next couple of weeks, I guess that is something...
just grrr... that is all...
And I hate Mac... |

And I hate Mac... You sound a lot like my Hubby who feels as you do - All Mac Users Must Die. He's also a wolf. ;)
Good for you for getting good grades, though this is not surprising as you are a smart individual.
I hope you get your living situation to work out perfectly! That's right, I am hoping for something perfect for you for living arrangements for the next year.
*big hug*
You talk a good OS cleansing, Lothair... but me thinks this is grumblings and not a "Rise up" speech to overthrow an oppressive regime.
Though I do agree with your sentiment. I look forward to the day we have an OS that learns you (instead of the other way around). Can you imagine, sitting on your couch, drinking a beer and shouting, "Computer, I need you to..." "No worries, boss, I've already emailed them already, booked the hotel and pre-ordered the food and booze."
SCIENCE!
Much luck on finding a new place. Hope to see you back at game soon, we all miss you.
heh I'll be the nay-sayer here.
Frankly, I like plug-in-play. (A mac invention) I also like graphical interfaces (An mac invention) I also *hate* DOS prompts. Graphical interfaces may be a bit counter-intuitive, and certainly cause us to 'bend' to think like the machine does... but DOS has such a steep learning curve you are ~required~ to think like the programmers.
Having said that, I don't own a Mac. I likes me my games. :-P
Oh, and I fully agree with the previous post. Informatics technology will have reached perfection when my doorbell rings... and there are two high-end prostitutes on my doorstep claiming that my computer said I was too stressed for my own good.
